Lip balms - my stash

I always have a lip balm around me. It is one of those products I'm never without. I usually use one until it is finished and then I get a new one. Last summer I ended up with bunch of new lip balms so now I have nice stash. I planed this post few months ago so I already used up one of these lip balms and got one new because somehow I always left this post for later. I know it will sound strange when I say that I don't buy lip balms often. I like to stick with the rule - finish with one and buy a new one...Actually I only bought Balea Sweet Wonderland and the rest I got from other people or with some other purchase. Some beauty product just find a way to come to me :) So there...I'm glad to say that I can stick with my plans sometimes:D

I always loved lip balms, for most of us lip balm was the first "beauty" product. I remember I used to love those pink, sweet and shimmery balms :) Now I tried to avoid them as much as I can. What I love about lip balms is that they make my lips soft and moisturized. But I have to say that nowadays there are so much different product out there and sometimes lip balms just dry out your lips and you need to use them even more. However when you use them all the time like I do, you do get really nice soft lips. I find that is better to apply them in thin layer, that is the way I get the best result.

Now let's look at what I have and I will say few words about each.

I'll start with cute little lip balm pots. I have p2 Appletini which was one of my favorite products for a while. You can see that I hit the bottom of the pot and there is good amount of product in there ( 9 ml ). I just love the smell, the texture and the quality itself. Plus it looks nice and glossy on my lips. I didn't use it for a while now because it was only lip balm I was using for a very long time so I got little bit tired of it. Another p2 lip balm that I have is Warm Cacao. Very similar to Appletini, only different smell. I love this one too. Moisturizing, creamy and most important p2 lip balms don't dry out my lips and they give me that comfortable feeling on my lips.

MUA Great Lips lip balm is the one that I got as a gift with my MUA order. It smells nice and it is tinted so it is a nice replacement for lip gloss but if you look for quality lip balm you better skip it. It doesn't last long and it dries out my lips a little bit. I usually avoid this one.

Essence Servus! has fine shimmer inside and it is a really nice lip balm that looks shiny on my lips and it is also nourishing. I didn't use it many times because for some reason I always forget about it.

Alverde sun protect with SPF 20 is something I would only use on the beach. It is very thick and leaves white mark after I use it so I'm not a fan of it for everyday use.

Rosal So Natural is one of those classic lip balms. One of my favorites. It has neutral smell and it doesn't dry out my lips. I would say that is all you need when it comes to lip balms.

Balea Sweet Wonderland is the one I bought because it has gorgeous chocolate smell. This is the only one I bought myself and the one I used up since I took these photos. I bought it long time ago and even though I used it up I doubt I will buy Balea lip balm anytime soon. This one does dry out my lips and I could reapply it every few minutes. It works little bit better when I apply thin layer but still isn't something I would go back to.

The rest of my lip balms are Essence. I don't know why but for a long time I thought they are no good. After I tried them I can say that they are really good and worth buying. Four that I have are limited edition. Essence Master Of Magic is the one I use the most right now. It doesn't dry out my lips and it is moisturizing. It is also tinted so lately I like to use it instead of lip gloss / lip stick and I love the result! I apply few layers and color is there for hours. I don't need to worry about reapplying all the time. 

Essence Ben & Cherries, Essence Icylcious and Essence Ice Ice Baby are lip balms from Me&My Ice Cream trend edition and I love all of them! They don't last that long but they don't dry out my lips so I like to use them. Plus they look cute and smell really nice.

The last one is Lush Honey Trap and even though I got this one last it is my absolute favorite. I recently mentioned it here, so click to see a bit more.

This week's TOP 3 #1

I decided to add new series to my blog - This week's top 3! This is going to be like a short version of favorites. I don't post favorites very often because I usually use the same products so I don't consider them interesting enough to write about them every month but every now and then I do find some products that I really love and this is the way to talk about them a bit. I will post my top 3 occasionally, whenever I find few products that amaze me or some new products I start to use on daily basis. Also I think this is a good way to mention some products one more time or give short review on some products I didn't write about. Hope you will enjoy these posts. 

This week I have a blush, lipstick and a lip balm.

Elf Glow is the blush that I have for long time and it is usually left a side, but every time I use it I remember how much I love it. I started using it again at Monday and I've been using it every single day since. It looks natural and very spring appropriate. I love, love, love it...this time I will probably use it for a longer period of time. To read more about Elf Glow click here.

MUA lipstick Shade 4 was among my favorite products for a while. When I first got it I was using it all the time, I just love the fact it is so subtle and that "my lips but better" effect. Few days ago I was going trough my stash and now I use it all the time once again. You can see the swatch if you click here.

Lush Honey Trap is one of my new products and I fell in love with it the when I first tried it. Beautiful smell, moisturizing, not greasy and takes care of my lips. This little pot contains 8 g of product and I believe it will last for a long time!

Fa Pink Passion shower gel - Fa is usually my go to shower gel brand because it is one of few brands that don't give me allergic reaction. Sometimes I hate that I'm limited to few brands but I'm glad that I can use Fa with no fear.

Laura Vandini Pearl shower gel - beside shower gel I also have body lotion from the same line, I love both products.

Loreal Elvital Color - Glanz - one of my favorite products.

Dove Go Fresh deo spray - Amazing product, love it!

Balea Almond Oil - this is one of Balea's most popular body lotions. Complete deserved because this is an amazing product!

MUA Extreme Curl mascara - I really loved this mascara and this is something I would definitely repurchase. However I will probably skip it because there is so many different mascaras that I want to try. But, if you are thinking about MUA Extreme Curl - go for it. 

Avon Be...Kissable - I have this one for years and I was never really into it. I started using it few months ago as everyday scent. I believe that this is discontinued long time ago.

Essence Bloom-A-Loom - my favorite pastel purple nail polish, I'm sad that I have to let go this beauty.

Balea London liquid soap - I love this soap but I have to admit that the main reason why I bought it is the package :)

Loreal mini conditioner - Love, love, love it!!

Summer 2013 favorites

Summer is gone and here are the products I used and loved the most this summer!

Schwarzkopf Got2Be Rocking It! dry shampoo replaced Balea dry shampoo I used before. I really love this one, my hair looks really nice after I use it. Another thing is that Muller has 50% off on this one every few weeks so that is really good way to save money.

Laura Vandini Pearl body shimmer was definitely my favorite body lotion. I thought that there is no way I wil use anything except Balea Summer Glam but here it is. Pearl gives your skin perfect shimmery glow and it has really nice texture.

p2 Illuminate Me makeup base is my favorite for a while. I hope I will be able to put my hands on it again when I use up this tube. This is the best makeup base I tried so far, if I have p2 base on my face I don't have to worry about my foundation going anywhere. Awesome product!

Avon AT Moroccan Argan Oil leave in treatment is the product I tried for the first time this summer. At this point I think I will come back to it for years to come! I will tell you more about my impressions in separate post very soon.

Yellow nail polishes were on my nails the most this summer. I don't have one specific favorite but yellow was the color of summer for me!

Essence Prima Ballerina blush souffle is one of the best Essence products ever!! Such a shame it was limited edition and I almost used it up. I hope Essence will come up with something like this in future.

Essence To Die For palette is honestly a must have. I didn't use a lot of makeup this summer and when it comes to eyeshadow I was using this one almost exclusively. 

Maybelline Fuchsia Flash was a summer hit. Bold and beautiful, one of my favorite lipsticks!

Catrice Matt About Pink is the first matte lipstick that I own. Beside Maybelline Fuchsia Flash I was reaching for this one the most.

MUA Extreme Curl mascara is one of those great MUA buys. This one is great for me, sometimes I have hard time finding a good mascara with my small eyes and tiny lashes but this one works really good!

My nail polish stash: orange

Essence You're My Dragonfly, Sugar - from Natventurista TE. Nice color but very sheer, I need at least 3 coats to get the opacity.

Essence Andy, You're A Star - from Whoom! Boooom!!! TE. This is bright medium orange, I was very excited about it when I bought it but actually I was never into this color.

Bourjois Coral Magique - One of my favorites. Beautiful medium coral with loads of golden shimmer / falkies. Perfect for spring / summer!

p2 Flirt Alert - Beautiful cream color but when I bought it I realized that I have few colors that are very close to this one. So, this is the last orange that I picked up because I realized that I have enough of them and that I always reach for the same colors. 

Essence Queen Of My Cloud Castle - from Fantasia TE. This color is very pretty but almost the same as previous one. The difference is gorgeous micro multi colored shimmer in this one.

China Glaze Flirty Tankini - Another beauty but also another nail polish that is so close to something else in my stash. I even made a post dedicated to China Glaze Flirty Tankini and Essence Queen Of My Cloud Castle because they are so close. They are not 100% dupes but they are not very different. Between the two I prefer Flirty Tankini.

Rimmel Instyle Coral - This group of polishes is... let's say a dupe group. For a while I was reaching for corals and now I have few dupes. Instyle Coral is just a tiny bit lighter then Essence Off To Miami! and Sinful Colors Boogie Nights.

Catrice I Scream Peach - Very nice spring / summer color. One of my first Catrice nail polishes. It might look like Sinful Colors Hazard on the pictures but they are not the same, close but this one is brighter.

Sinful Colors Hazard - I got this one in a swap and I was very happy with my choice when I got it. I love Hazard because it is a bright color but it kinda looks like a pastel. Weird, I know but beautiful.

China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy - One of most popular China Glaze polishes. The color is awesome, so bright and perfect for summer...but the formula is just bad. No matter how many layers I have it is always unevem. I still use it a lot because I adore the color.

p2 Electric - Now here is another dupe group. In my defense I have to say that I bought only one by myself from three dupe nail polishes I have here. p2 Electric is a classic orange picked up by my boyfriend.

MUA I Want You - I got this one as a gift with my MUA order, another classic orange. Cream finish, 2 coats are enough for full opacity.

Essence Orange Sunset - from Bondi Beach TE. Now this one I picked up by myself, at the time it was unique in my collection. Just like previous two it is a cream orange. This color is great for summer but I like to wear colors like this any time of year.

Essence Why Not? - This is one of few Essence Multi Dimension that I still have. It was one of my favorites when I bought it but I haven't used it for a long time, I think it would take a hundred years for it to dry. Anyway, it is a very nice shimmery orange!

Essence You're The One - This one is the darkest one from all polishes I have here today. I like to wear it time to time but I remember when I bought it, it was on my nails all the time!

Maybelline Peach Cocktail -  One of the prettiest summer nail polishes. I usually wear it on my toes. The color is really beautiful, bright and very shimmery!

Nivea Cherry Glace - Beautiful coral which I haven't used for a very long time, it is a lot like Avon Coral Reef that I used up, so now I will probably reach for this one more often. 

S-he number 208 - Another beauty, orange with loads of silver shimmer and orange flakies. What I love about this one and other S-he nail polishes is that they dry so fast. I usually use it when I'm in a hurry. 

Essence Candycotion - from Crazy Good Times TE - Very close to S-he 208 but this one is even more beautiful. Jelly formula with loads of orange flakies.

Bourjois number 11 - This is a red orange, in the bottle it is more orange but on the nails looks more red. very nice color.

Sinful Colors Timbleberry - My favorite from today! This is one of those prefect summer colors that is so beautiful that you wear it all year long. The color is very interesting. It is a coral but it has a pink and sometime redish tone in it, it just depends on the light. Perfection!

Golden Rose number 322 - This one is very close to Sinful Colors Timbleberry, this is a redish coral. Very beautiful and eye catching color.

I'm finally done with orange, honestly I was little bit afraid of it because I knew that I fave few dupe colors. For that reason I decided to stay away from them for a while because I obviously like the same colors. Now when I see a nice orange / peach / coral in drugstores I just keep going! I hope that next week I will show you my pink nail polishes and I have to say  I'm terrified of that because I'm a pink girl and I really hope that it is not too crazy!

Cosmic Radiance by Britney Spears - Another of my perfume bottles is empty. That always makes me sad, especially when is fragrance that I really like - like this one.

Balea Kakao Bodybutter - I bought this body butter in the summer and at the beginning I thought that the smell is too strong so I didn't use it until the winter when I fell in love with it. I think some people would find the smell rally strong but I liked it. I also love the formula, it makes my skin very soft and it absorbs quickly.

Balea Repair + Pflege Anti Spliss Serum - In one of my previous Empty posts I said that I'm not going back to it but then I realized that I already bought the new bottle and completely forgot about it. Now after I finished this one I'm sure that I'm not going to use this product any more. I have very dry hair and I need something better for my ends.

MUA face primer - I was never amazed by this product and I think I will not repurchase it. It just doesn't do much for me.

Essence 24 hand protection balm Apple Cinnamon - This ting smells amazing and it is a shame that it is only limited edition!

Ebelin cotton pads - these are my favorite cotton pads for a very long time. I use them for everything but mostly when I want to remove my nail polish.

MUA Sheer Finish Lipgloss and Intense Kisses High Intensity Gloss

I still have few lip products from last 50% of from MUA that I didn't showed you. I have three Sheer Finish Lipgloss and one Intense Kisses High Intensity Gloss.

Sheer Finish Lipgloss: Cute Talk, Happy Days and Just In Case

I love MUA's Sheer Finish lipglosses. They have nice formula, they are not sticky like most lipglosses so that makes them comfortable to wear. The smell is really sweet and I think most people will like it. Just like their name says they are sheer but they are visible on your lips, so you have nice gloss with little bit of color. They are really good for everyday makeup look.

The tube contains 15 ml of products which is a lot and I will probably have these for a very, very long time.

Intense Kisses High Intensity gloss: Lips Are Sealed

Intense Kisses Lips Are Sealed became one of my favorite lip glosses. Every time I have it on my lips I receive a lot of compliments. It looks beautiful on the lips and it has amazing, creamy formula. It is not sticky at all and I think it looks pretty with any kind of makeup - day or night. I will definitely check out other colors  Lipgloss lasts for few hours on my lips, it has very nice smell and the bottle contains 5.1 ml. Great product from MUA.

March 2013 favorites

Balea Young Sweet Wonderland shower gel - I honestly don't know what is  with me and chocolate scent lately but I'm obsessed with it! This is like hot chocolate and it is my favorite shower gel lately.

Essence Quatrro eyeshadow To Die For - I'm rolling around few natural eyeshadow palettes but Essence To Die For is the one I was reaching for the most,hopefully Essence will not discontinue it anytime soon! click

Essence Ballerina Backstage Prima Ballerina- I probably had Ballerina blush for a year until I started using it, past few months I am using it 90% of time. I'm half way through it and I'm hoping to find a dupe. If you know about something like this please let me know! click

OPI Stay The Night - I love OPI liquid sand and I have few more on my wishlist! Stay The Night is a real beauty and it was one of my favorite products past month. click

Here are three more product from my last MUA order. 

First thing is Extreme Curl Mascara. Mascara wasn't on my wish list but when I decided to order it I was really looking forward to trying it. I usually have hard time finding right mascara because I have small eyes and my natural eyelashes are not very long or dense.So in my case it is better when mascara isn't very wet and some mascaras are good for me after a month or so when they dry out a little bit. MUA Extreme Curl mascara is a really nice surprise and I love using it. It is not too watery ( don't worry it is not dry neither) and that makes application very easy. It gives my poor eyelashes curl and length which is really great. When I apply first coat of this mascara it sticks my lashes a little bit but after I add few more coats my lashes are not stick together any more and everything looks really nice. There where no clumps.

The wand is curved and even though I'm not the biggest fan of wands like this I like it. The mascara contains 7 ml.

Shade 4 blusher

Shade 4 is nice coral blush. It looks very pretty on the cheeks and pigmentation is great. I wore it several times but I prefer colors like this on warmer days so this will probably be among my favorites during summer. The blush contains 2.4 g and it has matte finish.

English Rose mosaic blush

This is the product I was most excited about but it turn out to be a bit disappointing. It looks really beautiful in the pot but pigmentation is poor and what is worst it is extremely shimmery. When I apply it on my cheeks it is barely visible and if I add more product there is too much shimmer. To me this is more like a highlighter then a blush so I believe that that is the way I'm gonna use this product even thought I don't use highlighter on my cheeks very often.

Overall I don't regret buying any of these products. Yes, mosaic blush turn out to be bad but it was such a good deal that I'm not even sorry. However, Extreme Curl mascara and Shade 4 blusher are definitely worth trying and I recommend them.
