January nail art challenge: Circles

Guess what? I'm late with challenge posts once again. This time I have them prepared so hopefully I will post each every day :) This one's theme was Circles. Very simple, blue and white mani. 

I used China Glaze Snow, Maybelline Superpower Blue, Sinful Colors Athens and Maybelline Party Blue.

Today I have special edition for my empties. These deserve their own post with out mixing with my other empties.

The other day I finally went trough my nail polish stash. Since I don't have proper storage for my nail polishes I slowly lost track of what exactly I have and if I look for one color it always took me time to find it. Now everything is order but when I was going trough my stash I noticed that more then few nail polishes were dried. Now, I know there are thinners and stuff like that but I decided that with so, so many other polishes in my stash there is no need for me to try save these. Most of these polishes are my beautiful glitters worth saving but I'm not even sure how would that work. So, time to say goodbye :(  After so many beautiful manis, they go to history... 

I divided them in two groups, here are pics and names:

31 Day Nail Art Challenge: Half Moons

Half moons is one of two manicures in this challenge that I'm not crazy about. Not because of the way half moons look on the nails, I really like that part but because they never turn out the way I want them. I do them free hand and everything always looks really messy and each nail is clearly different. This time I decided to go opposite of usual. I applied base color and then I used nail doting tool to create half moon on the bottom of the nail. After that I used striper to hide imperfections. I find that this way is easier and now my half moons look good and this makes me wanna do them again. How do you do half moons?

31 Day Nail Art Challenge: Glitter

I didn't have a lot of time for Glitter mani for 31DNAC so I did it very, very simple. I used Essence Alice Had A Vision - Again as a base and Sinful Colors Frenzy on tips on my nails. That's it for day 17.

Sinful Colors Cream Pink and Sinful Colors Timbleberry

I'm very busy pass few weeks and I barely have time for my blog. So today I'm gonna go with quick nail post. I have two Sinful Colors nail polishes to show you, I have them for awhile and these swaches are in my folder since the summer and it is finally time to post them. First Sinful Color nail polish here is Cream Pink. Interesting thing about Sinful Colors Cream Pink is that this actually isn't cream nail polish. There is a cream pink base but there are also loads of golden glitter. Glitter is the thing that separates this nail polish from other pinks and makes it really pretty! Cream Pink is great color for summer but if you are pink girl like me the season isn't that important :)

Next one is Sinful Colors Timbleberry. I got both polishes in a swap and interesting thing is that Sinful Color Timpleberry is the last one that I added on my swap wish list and ever since I got it Timbleberry is one of my favorite nail polishes. The color is soooo pretty. It is coral with red and pink tone to it depending on the light. It looks gorgeous in the bottle and even better on the nails. Ultimate summer color but since I love it so much I wear it all year long.

Finally my pink nail polishes. I was afraid of this post because I'm a pink girl and I wasn't sure how many dupes I will find. In the end it wasn't too bad but now I'm sure that there is no need to buy any "medium" pink nail polish for a year...at least :D I probably don't need any pink nail polish for some time but let's not make fake promises :D 

Here we go! I sorted them by shade, most realistic color is in the bottle. Nail wheel refused to cooperate, but here it is anyway. You can at least see diversity among the colors side by side. As always I added short description to the pictures if you are interested in that :)

Basic Beauty number 43 - This is the lightest pink nail polish that I own. Very shimmer and very sheer. I like to use it for nail art but it is also good layering.

Rimmel Star Kissed - This one is also very light, cream base with holo glitter. Very nice!

Catrice Miss Piggy Reloaded - I like this color a lot, it is soft pink with multicolored shimmer which is very subtle. Unfortunately it is discontinued. 

Essie We're In It Together - This is a true beauty! Light pink with loads of purple / blue micro glitter. 

Essence Flamingo Roses - Light pink with silver shimmer. Just a little bit darker from Essie and Catrice.

p2 Flirt With Me! - This one is light cream pink. Since I have few nail polishes very close to this one I didn't wore it a lot. 

Catrice Sweets For My Sweets - This is one of my favorites! It is perfect for nail art because it has great opacity and it looks very pretty on it's own! Like a lighter version of Barbie pink. The base is cream with loads of darker pink shimmer which is very subtle.

Deborah Milano Ballerina Tutu - When I first saw Ballerina Tutu I knew I'm gonna buy it but I only wore it once or twice. It looks gorgeous in the bottle but on my nails is just little bit to light for my taste.

Oriflame Clover Hate - I'don't have much to say about this one except that this is my oldest nail polish and I'm afraid it will end up in trash very soon :D

Maybelline Mauve Diamonds - Hm...this one was a disappointment. It looks stunning in the bottle, so shimmery and beautiful but when you apply it on your nails there is nothing. The color isn't that pretty and it is very, very sheer. You can look at the bottle in the picture above and believe me when I say that I used it only once. You probably need million shades to make something of it!

Basic Concept Open Air Kiss - I'm not very familiar with the brand Basic Concept but I like this nail polish.This one is the darkest so far and it is very pretty. The color is very interesting, dusty pink and silver shimmer. Perfect for winter holidays.

OPI My Address Is Hollywood - This one is not light and not too bright, it is right in between. The base is cream but there is loads of golden glitter which looks very pretty especially in the sun.

Golden Rose number 268 - This one is a  cream, light but much brighter then the polishes on the first picture. Very beautiful.

China Glaze Pink Plumeria - Another favorite! The color is coral pink, it  is very bright even though it is light pink. Pink Plumeria was part of last year's China Glaze Summer Neon Collection but this isn't neon and I don't mind at all because it is so beautiful and it draws a lot of attention.

Color Club Space Case - Now this would be light pink neon with loads of multicolored glitter which is not sparkly. Weird I know, but truly beautiful.

Uma Psychic Pink - Uma is another brand I'm not familiar with. Psychic Pink is bright shimmery pink. It looks nice on the nails but I have to admit I prefer how it looks in the bottle.

Deborah Milano  Love At First Sight - I was obsessed with this nail polish when it came out, so obsessed that I have a backup bottle :) I love glitter nail polishes and this one was the closest to it at the time. The base of this nail polish is pink shimmer with pink and golden glitter!

Bourjois 1 Seconde number 15 - This one looks a lot like Deborah Milano LAFS, the same shade of pink but different formula. Instead of glitter here we have shimmer. You can guess which one I prefer ;)

Next group of polishes is the problematic one :) These are my "medium" pink nail polishes. They are not light and they art not dark, also they are not too bright. The colors are very similar so I will just add their names bellow because anything else would be too confusing. Pictures of the bottles are realistic so click on them to see them more closely. The wheel looks little bit darker then in real life but you can look at it anyway. I added numbers for each bottle and nail wheel so I hope it helps.

Essence Let Me In Pink - Dusty pink, cream and very beautiful but somehow I always forget about it. I wish I reach for it more often.

Essence Princessorize - The only difference between this and the next one is the shimmer. Base micro shimmer is the same in both polishes, but Essence has pink, purple and blue larger shimmer while S-he has larger silver shimmer. Both look beautiful but I prefer Essence.

S-he number 467 - Look at previous description.

Sinful Colors Cream Pink - Even though the name is Cream Pink this isn't cream nail polish. The base is cream pink but there is also loads of golden micro glitter which makes this nail polish very special and beautiful.

Basic Beauty number 467 - One of my darker pinks, very nice shimmery color!

Essence Bright Alert! - with Bright Alert! we came to the bright pink group, which is my favorite. Essence Bright Alert! is a nice nail polish but probably my least favorite in the picture above. The reason is that it is too sheer and it would look the best with white base but I'm always lazy for that.

Golden Rose number 66 - This one is also very pretty but same as Bright Alert! too sheer on it's own. I bought it when I was on the mission to find perfect bright pink.

China Glaze Hang Ten Toes - Absolute favorite! I love everything about this nail polish. Gorgeous purple pink color, neon shimmer...perfection!

Color Club Ultra-Astral - This one also goes to the group of my pink favorites. Bright, bright pink with glitter. Like I already mentioned Color Club glitter is not sparkly but it looks amazing!

Golden Rose number 328 - Just like Golden Rose 66 this one is not very opaque but I like how this one looks on it's own. Cream with gel like finish.

Julep Samantha - This screams summer. Just a tiny bit darker then ultimate summer neon China Glaze Pool Party.

China Glaze Poll Party - When I bought Pool Party my mission to find perfect bright pink was completed. I adore this nail polish, perfect summer color with matte finish.

Saran wrap manicure

Nail Crazy is celebrating her 1000 followers by throwing a giveaway. All you have to do is make a manicure, post it online and she will randomly choose a winner. I decided to go with saran wrap manicure. I tried it few days ago for the first time and it was easiest thing to do so I did another one today for Nail Crazy. What is great about saran wrap manicure is that you can paint your nails any color you want, wear it for day or two and then instead of removing it you can make a completely different thing out of it. That is what I did both times. First I applied Sinful Colors Cinderella and when I decided to turn it into a saran mani I added S-he 462. Very easy and quick with cute end result.

Since I never showed you my swatch of  Sinful Colors Cinderella here it is. I got this nail polish in a swap last year and I really like it. It is a light blue with pink shimmer, kind of like Cinderella's ball gown. On picture bellow I have 2 coats, it might be better with another coat but this is pretty too. The picture is taken on natural day light. 

In the end this is my first saran wrap mani from few days ago. I had p2 Open Your Heart! on my nails and it started to chip a little bit so I remembered I could do saran mani. It turn out pretty good and I have feeling that I will do this mani very often.

Essence You're My Dragonfly, Sugar - from Natventurista TE. Nice color but very sheer, I need at least 3 coats to get the opacity.

Essence Andy, You're A Star - from Whoom! Boooom!!! TE. This is bright medium orange, I was very excited about it when I bought it but actually I was never into this color.

Bourjois Coral Magique - One of my favorites. Beautiful medium coral with loads of golden shimmer / falkies. Perfect for spring / summer!

p2 Flirt Alert - Beautiful cream color but when I bought it I realized that I have few colors that are very close to this one. So, this is the last orange that I picked up because I realized that I have enough of them and that I always reach for the same colors. 

Essence Queen Of My Cloud Castle - from Fantasia TE. This color is very pretty but almost the same as previous one. The difference is gorgeous micro multi colored shimmer in this one.

China Glaze Flirty Tankini - Another beauty but also another nail polish that is so close to something else in my stash. I even made a post dedicated to China Glaze Flirty Tankini and Essence Queen Of My Cloud Castle because they are so close. They are not 100% dupes but they are not very different. Between the two I prefer Flirty Tankini.

Rimmel Instyle Coral - This group of polishes is... let's say a dupe group. For a while I was reaching for corals and now I have few dupes. Instyle Coral is just a tiny bit lighter then Essence Off To Miami! and Sinful Colors Boogie Nights.

Catrice I Scream Peach - Very nice spring / summer color. One of my first Catrice nail polishes. It might look like Sinful Colors Hazard on the pictures but they are not the same, close but this one is brighter.

Sinful Colors Hazard - I got this one in a swap and I was very happy with my choice when I got it. I love Hazard because it is a bright color but it kinda looks like a pastel. Weird, I know but beautiful.

China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy - One of most popular China Glaze polishes. The color is awesome, so bright and perfect for summer...but the formula is just bad. No matter how many layers I have it is always unevem. I still use it a lot because I adore the color.

p2 Electric - Now here is another dupe group. In my defense I have to say that I bought only one by myself from three dupe nail polishes I have here. p2 Electric is a classic orange picked up by my boyfriend.

MUA I Want You - I got this one as a gift with my MUA order, another classic orange. Cream finish, 2 coats are enough for full opacity.

Essence Orange Sunset - from Bondi Beach TE. Now this one I picked up by myself, at the time it was unique in my collection. Just like previous two it is a cream orange. This color is great for summer but I like to wear colors like this any time of year.

Essence Why Not? - This is one of few Essence Multi Dimension that I still have. It was one of my favorites when I bought it but I haven't used it for a long time, I think it would take a hundred years for it to dry. Anyway, it is a very nice shimmery orange!

Essence You're The One - This one is the darkest one from all polishes I have here today. I like to wear it time to time but I remember when I bought it, it was on my nails all the time!

Maybelline Peach Cocktail -  One of the prettiest summer nail polishes. I usually wear it on my toes. The color is really beautiful, bright and very shimmery!

Nivea Cherry Glace - Beautiful coral which I haven't used for a very long time, it is a lot like Avon Coral Reef that I used up, so now I will probably reach for this one more often. 

S-he number 208 - Another beauty, orange with loads of silver shimmer and orange flakies. What I love about this one and other S-he nail polishes is that they dry so fast. I usually use it when I'm in a hurry. 

Essence Candycotion - from Crazy Good Times TE - Very close to S-he 208 but this one is even more beautiful. Jelly formula with loads of orange flakies.

Bourjois number 11 - This is a red orange, in the bottle it is more orange but on the nails looks more red. very nice color.

Sinful Colors Timbleberry - My favorite from today! This is one of those prefect summer colors that is so beautiful that you wear it all year long. The color is very interesting. It is a coral but it has a pink and sometime redish tone in it, it just depends on the light. Perfection!

Golden Rose number 322 - This one is very close to Sinful Colors Timbleberry, this is a redish coral. Very beautiful and eye catching color.

I'm finally done with orange, honestly I was little bit afraid of it because I knew that I fave few dupe colors. For that reason I decided to stay away from them for a while because I obviously like the same colors. Now when I see a nice orange / peach / coral in drugstores I just keep going! I hope that next week I will show you my pink nail polishes and I have to say  I'm terrified of that because I'm a pink girl and I really hope that it is not too crazy!

OUAT nail art challenge: The princess

I'm late with Day 8 challenge because my computer was broken for a while but I have the chance to do it now!  Unfortunately pictures are smaller then usual but I hope you don't mind. For Day 8 the challenge was The princess, I choose Snow White. I used bunch of nail polishes for this manicure but I actually did really simple mani. For base color I used Avon Pale Gold and with Sally Hansen Strobe Light and Sinful Colors Pinky Glitter I did diagonal french. On my ring finger I draw Snow White's apple and on the rest I simply draw flowers with few dots. On my point finger I applied golden crackle nail polish and stamped a heart which should represent true love's kiss.

Even if it doesn't look like that I used a lot nail polishes: Pale Gold, p2 Golden Rush, Sally Hansen Strobe Light, Sinful Colors Pinky Glitter, Essence Ahoy, p2 Open Your Heart and Essence Berlin Story

Always Polished Nails

Pink and ivory polka dot

Today I will show you one of my old manicures, this one is in my blog folder since the summer. At first I didn't liked the photos and then I forgot about it. But I do like the design. It is very simple and quick and no matter how many times I do polka dot nail art I love it every single time :) To change it little bit I added little bit of glitter.

For base color I used Max Factor Whispering Ivory, for polka dots I used Catrice Sweets For My Sweets and glitter polish is Sinful Colors Pink Glitter.

Dupes: Sinful Colors Boogie Nights, Essence Off To Miami! and Rimmel Instyle Coral

Yesterday I had Essence Off To Miami! on my nails and I wanted to compare it with some other nail polishes that I have. Essence Off To Miami! looked so familiar first time I saw it but I couldn't resist it and I bought it. First I compered it with some coral and orange polishes that I have and nothing was like it, but yesterday when it was on my nails I knew this is the color that I have in my collection. In the end I didn't found one dupe I found two. First I remembered Rimmel Instyle Coral and then immediately I reached for Sinful Colors Boogie Nights. Two polishes: Sinful Colors and Essence look exactly the same while Rimmel is tiny bit lighter, but the difference is negligible. All three colors are coral. You can probably tell that I like it, maybe little bit too much...From now on I have to be extra careful when I'm picking nail polish colors because I don't like when I realize that I bought color that I already own. 

On first picture bellow you can see all three nail polishes side by side on nail wheel: Sinful Colors Boogie Nights, Essence Off To Miami! and Rimmel Instyle Coral. Pictute is taken in the sun and as you can see there is almost no difference.

Now let's see it on my nails. This is how Sinful Colors Boogie Nights looks like...it applies easily, it comes in bottle that contains 15 ml of product. Picture is taken in the sun.

Next is Essence Off To Miami! One of new Essence Color&Go nail polishes. I loved application of this one, it seams that I'm starting a love affair with new Essence. Every time I like it more :) The bottle contains 8 ml.

The last one is Rimmel Instyle Coral which is little bit lighter then previous two but there is almost no difference trust me. I swatched this one a while ago so this picture is taken in shade, but if you look at the nail wheel you will see how close the colors are. This one also has easy applications and it dries really quickly. The bottle contains 8 ml.
