November nail art challenge: Moustaches

November challenge can't be without moustaches and I was looking forward to this one. I knew I want pastel nails and I used my water decal moustaches that I have for years but I used them only once. This was perfect opportunity to use them again. 

I used: Essence Flamingo Rose, Essence Iced Mint Frappe, p2 Violet Summerdream and Julep Blake

How I winterize my nails

I have super dry skin, during winter my little problem always gets bigger. It is the same thing with my body and with my hands and nails. I always use tons of hand lotions and creams but when cold days come, my hands and nails tend to be dry and rough I do my routine more often. Abbey from Julep asked me to share my routine as well as Julep's and since I never shared it on my blog here it is. My routine is pretty simple, I don't need a lot of different products just hand cream, cuticle butter and nail file.

I always start with nail file. Maybe it is weird but I don't clip my nails with nail clipper, I only shape them or shorten them with nail file. It is how I like to do my nails and it is how I always did it. I use nail clipper or / and nail scissors when nail file doesn't help which is rare in my case. I always have nail files around and one in my bag so I'm set anywhere I go. 

After I'm done with nail file I use nail butter. My favorite is from Lush ( more about it here ). I use it on my nails, on my cuticles and if it is necessary on parts of my hands. Last thing I use is hand cream and I use a lot of it especially during winter. I like to change them, right now I'm using the one from Essence. I also like to apply a little bit on my nails because it keeps my skin and cuticles soft as well. 

After everything my nails are ready for some nail polish :) ( Here I have Julep Helena. ) I don't do all of this every single time I change my manicure because that would be too much, I do it approximately once a week but when it comes to nail butter and hand creams sometimes I apply them several times a day. Cold weather and constant change of manicure drys out my skin so I like to keep them soft and moisturized. The most important thing in my opinion is to take care of your hands and nails regularly. It makes everything quicker and easier.

Unfortunately we can't buy Julep products in Europe and that is a shame because they have a lot of beautiful colors. I got few in a swap some time ago and I hope we will be able to get them because I have more then few in my wish list.

My nail polish stash: pink

Finally my pink nail polishes. I was afraid of this post because I'm a pink girl and I wasn't sure how many dupes I will find. In the end it wasn't too bad but now I'm sure that there is no need to buy any "medium" pink nail polish for a year...at least :D I probably don't need any pink nail polish for some time but let's not make fake promises :D 

Here we go! I sorted them by shade, most realistic color is in the bottle. Nail wheel refused to cooperate, but here it is anyway. You can at least see diversity among the colors side by side. As always I added short description to the pictures if you are interested in that :)

Basic Beauty number 43 - This is the lightest pink nail polish that I own. Very shimmer and very sheer. I like to use it for nail art but it is also good layering.

Rimmel Star Kissed - This one is also very light, cream base with holo glitter. Very nice!

Catrice Miss Piggy Reloaded - I like this color a lot, it is soft pink with multicolored shimmer which is very subtle. Unfortunately it is discontinued. 

Essie We're In It Together - This is a true beauty! Light pink with loads of purple / blue micro glitter. 

Essence Flamingo Roses - Light pink with silver shimmer. Just a little bit darker from Essie and Catrice.

p2 Flirt With Me! - This one is light cream pink. Since I have few nail polishes very close to this one I didn't wore it a lot. 

Catrice Sweets For My Sweets - This is one of my favorites! It is perfect for nail art because it has great opacity and it looks very pretty on it's own! Like a lighter version of Barbie pink. The base is cream with loads of darker pink shimmer which is very subtle.

Deborah Milano Ballerina Tutu - When I first saw Ballerina Tutu I knew I'm gonna buy it but I only wore it once or twice. It looks gorgeous in the bottle but on my nails is just little bit to light for my taste.

Oriflame Clover Hate - I'don't have much to say about this one except that this is my oldest nail polish and I'm afraid it will end up in trash very soon :D

Maybelline Mauve Diamonds - Hm...this one was a disappointment. It looks stunning in the bottle, so shimmery and beautiful but when you apply it on your nails there is nothing. The color isn't that pretty and it is very, very sheer. You can look at the bottle in the picture above and believe me when I say that I used it only once. You probably need million shades to make something of it!

Basic Concept Open Air Kiss - I'm not very familiar with the brand Basic Concept but I like this nail polish.This one is the darkest so far and it is very pretty. The color is very interesting, dusty pink and silver shimmer. Perfect for winter holidays.

OPI My Address Is Hollywood - This one is not light and not too bright, it is right in between. The base is cream but there is loads of golden glitter which looks very pretty especially in the sun.

Golden Rose number 268 - This one is a  cream, light but much brighter then the polishes on the first picture. Very beautiful.

China Glaze Pink Plumeria - Another favorite! The color is coral pink, it  is very bright even though it is light pink. Pink Plumeria was part of last year's China Glaze Summer Neon Collection but this isn't neon and I don't mind at all because it is so beautiful and it draws a lot of attention.

Color Club Space Case - Now this would be light pink neon with loads of multicolored glitter which is not sparkly. Weird I know, but truly beautiful.

Uma Psychic Pink - Uma is another brand I'm not familiar with. Psychic Pink is bright shimmery pink. It looks nice on the nails but I have to admit I prefer how it looks in the bottle.

Deborah Milano  Love At First Sight - I was obsessed with this nail polish when it came out, so obsessed that I have a backup bottle :) I love glitter nail polishes and this one was the closest to it at the time. The base of this nail polish is pink shimmer with pink and golden glitter!

Bourjois 1 Seconde number 15 - This one looks a lot like Deborah Milano LAFS, the same shade of pink but different formula. Instead of glitter here we have shimmer. You can guess which one I prefer ;)

Next group of polishes is the problematic one :) These are my "medium" pink nail polishes. They are not light and they art not dark, also they are not too bright. The colors are very similar so I will just add their names bellow because anything else would be too confusing. Pictures of the bottles are realistic so click on them to see them more closely. The wheel looks little bit darker then in real life but you can look at it anyway. I added numbers for each bottle and nail wheel so I hope it helps.

Essence Let Me In Pink - Dusty pink, cream and very beautiful but somehow I always forget about it. I wish I reach for it more often.

Essence Princessorize - The only difference between this and the next one is the shimmer. Base micro shimmer is the same in both polishes, but Essence has pink, purple and blue larger shimmer while S-he has larger silver shimmer. Both look beautiful but I prefer Essence.

S-he number 467 - Look at previous description.

Sinful Colors Cream Pink - Even though the name is Cream Pink this isn't cream nail polish. The base is cream pink but there is also loads of golden micro glitter which makes this nail polish very special and beautiful.

Basic Beauty number 467 - One of my darker pinks, very nice shimmery color!

Essence Bright Alert! - with Bright Alert! we came to the bright pink group, which is my favorite. Essence Bright Alert! is a nice nail polish but probably my least favorite in the picture above. The reason is that it is too sheer and it would look the best with white base but I'm always lazy for that.

Golden Rose number 66 - This one is also very pretty but same as Bright Alert! too sheer on it's own. I bought it when I was on the mission to find perfect bright pink.

China Glaze Hang Ten Toes - Absolute favorite! I love everything about this nail polish. Gorgeous purple pink color, neon shimmer...perfection!

Color Club Ultra-Astral - This one also goes to the group of my pink favorites. Bright, bright pink with glitter. Like I already mentioned Color Club glitter is not sparkly but it looks amazing!

Golden Rose number 328 - Just like Golden Rose 66 this one is not very opaque but I like how this one looks on it's own. Cream with gel like finish.

Julep Samantha - This screams summer. Just a tiny bit darker then ultimate summer neon China Glaze Pool Party.

China Glaze Poll Party - When I bought Pool Party my mission to find perfect bright pink was completed. I adore this nail polish, perfect summer color with matte finish.

My nail polish stash: purple

Avon Color Trend Heavenly - One of the nail polishes that I have the longest. The color is nice and soft, purple base with loads of purple and silver shimmer.

No name nail polish - I have this one for a very long time too. This is another light purple but this one has duochrome effect, it goes from purple to blue.

Avon Magical Mauve - light, shiny purple. I can't remember the last time I wore it...

Essence Bloom-A-Loom from Blossoms Etc. TE. One of my favorite nail polishes. Pastel purple with multi coloured shimmer.

S-he number 375 - I love this color, it is a pastel purple with loads of pink shimmer. Unfortunately it is very sheer so I don't wear it very much.

Essence Meet Me Now! - Very beautiful nail polish, I used it a lot lately. The color is creamy violet, I like to wear it alone but it is also great for nail art.

MUA Love U 24/7 - This is one of the products that I got as a gift with my MUA order. At first I thought that this is great because I don't have a color like this. If you look at the picture above you can see that that isn't true. I quickly remembered that I have almost 100% dupe in Catrice Lucky In Lilac

Catrice Lucky In Lilac - So, this is almost exactly the same thing like MUA Love U 24/7. Both are cream classic purples.

p2 Poetic - This one is little bit darker then previous two. They look really close when you look at the bottles but on the nails, Poetic is darker and colder color.

Essence Oh My Glitter! - This is one of my favorites purples. The color is definitely in the same category like MUA, Catrice and p2 but what makes it special is the pink and blue glitter.

Bourjois number 17 - this is one of those colors that is hard to put it the color category. To me it is closest to purple. Very pretty color, perfect for fall and winter!

Manhattan 65K - This colors is something in between of purple and magenta. Either way very pretty, great for cold days.

Julep Helena - this would be my favorite from all the polishes I'm showing you today. This purplicious magenta is really stunning and eye catching. Love it! Unfortunately this beauty is very difficult to photograph, to see the real color click.

Rimmel Purple Pulse - This is one of the polishes I got in a swap. Very pretty color, a bit sheer but looks great with three coats.

Essence Little Miss Bright - from Season Of Extremes TE. This color is really close to Rimmel Purple Pulse but only tiny bit darker, when you look at the bottles they look exactly the same. This one is also little bit sheer so you need three coats to get full opacity. 

Essence Dress To Party - This is one of few Essence Multi Dimension polishes that I still have. This color is very similar to the previous two but a little bit darker and this one is shimmery. Nice color but I never really liked it that much...

Rimmel Pompous - This nail polish is very popular, most girls like it but I'm not too crazy about it. I bought it long time ago because it looks gorgeous in the bottle but on the nails it is little bit different and I don't like it. It is that purple blue color...I can't remember last time I had it on my nails but now that I look at the bottle it looks so pretty and I think I will give it another try!

Essence Lil@c - from @holografics.com - this nail polish isn't actually holo it is duochrome, goes from purple to blue and grey. Very interesting color!

Manhattan 610W - Dark purple with loads of silver shimmer. Pretty!

Deborah Milano no. 839 - In the bottle it looks amazing, dark purple with loads of purple flakies...on the nails it isn't pretty at all. It's not shinny at all and it feels like you have something different on your nails.

Essence Alice Had A Vision - Again -from Breaking Down part 2 collection. Alice is a purple beauty with lots and lots of purple, blue and green flakies.

Essence Thelma - This is the darkest purple I own, very nice cream.

Essence True Love - from Vampire's Love TE. Another one that looks gorgeous in the bottle but a bit boring on the nails. Still it is beautiful color.

Color Club Glitter Wonderland - I bought this one recently and I'm in love with this color. Purple base with purple, pink, blue...glitter. Hopefully I will post my swatch of this and next color soon.

Color Club Gift Of Sparkle - I love this one as much as I love Glitter Wonderland. Beautiful purple with loads of holografic glitter. Perfect holiday and winter nail polish.

Misslyn Dragonfly - this nail polish is actually a top coat. It came out in Limited Edition Peacock and you are supposed to apply it over black. I tried that and hated it, I didn't tried it after that. It has duochrome effect.

Essence Love, Peace And Purple - from You Rock! TE - Dark, muddy purple with loads of purple shimmer. This polish was also very popular because this seams to be a dupe for Chanel Paradoxal. 

Catrice Purplelized - Metallic shimmery purple. Very nice!

Catrice Dirty Berry - This one is also one of my favorite purple nail polishes. It is very interesting...the color is dusty purple with holografic shimmer. It looks gorgeous in the sun!

70's inspired manicure

My Perfect Lounge has awesome themed giveaway. I hope you are able to see that the theme was 70's .  If you want to participate in the giveaway you have to do your nails / hair / makeup / ... inspired by 70's. I was in the mood for something colorful on my nails so I decided to participate and have some fun. So, first I decided which colors I will use and then I tried to figure out the design. In the end I went with yellow, orange, purple and red, I wanted to include green too but maybe that would be too much :D For design I knew there will be some flowers but I wanted something extra so I came up with some colorful design on my middle and ring finger. I love how everything turn out to be, I'm not sure if this really is 70's mani but at least I tried, it was very fun to play with all the colors.

Julep Helena

Julep Helena is one of three Julep nail polishes that I have for now.  Julep Helena is the most beautiful purple, but to me it was so hard to catch it with camera. I am giving you one photo. This one is the closest to the true color of Helena, all the other photos that I have look totally different then the reality. The difference from my photo and the real Helena color is that in reality Helena is little bit deeper. This is not the first time I tried to swatch Helen without luck, but here is the link where you can see how it really looks, plus you can see some dupes.

Anyway, Helena is beautiful nail polish. Gorgeous, shiny color maybe not the best for my skin tone but I don't even care. With color like this my nails can't be unnoticed. When I was looking for Julep polishes that I like for the swap this was the first one that I noticed, because even with bunch of colors around it this one just gets the attention.

My nail polish stash: white, sand, cream, yellow...

For a while I wanted to post my nail polish stash but since I'm too lazy to post my hole stash at once I will make few separate posts. I will divide my posts by color. I was thinking about dividing my nail polishes by brand but I think this way is better because now we will be able to see how similar or how different my nail polishes are. I have to admit this will be very helpful to me. Hopefully I won't find too many dupes in my collection, I already know that I have some but I think it is not much. For some people my stash will look very big, for some small, for some usual...I've seen much, much bigger and smaller collections then mine. When I look at mine I think I have too many nail polishes but in the same time there is always something on my wish list.

I going to start with white. I have few white nail polishes and mostly I'm using them as base color and for nail art. 

Essence White Hype - from Black and White trend edition. This one has matte finish and it is my absolute favorite white polish when it comes to nail art. 

Essence Ahoy! - from 50's Girls Reloaded trend edition. I like this one very much, it is shiny and it is great for nail art which was main reason why I bought it. With 2 coats you get full opacity.

Essence White Secret - little bit sheer, you need at least 2-3 coats...only used it as a base for nail art.

Essence Pro White French - very similar to White Secret but even more sheer. I think it would be good for french manicure, I never tried it like that...only as a base.

Essence Prismatic White - from @holografic.com trend edition. If you think that this one has holo finish you are wrong - it is douchrome. It looks very nice alone but I prefer colors on my nails, so another nail art polish.

Miss Sporty - I have this one for so long that I don't even know it's name. It has douchrome finish and it looks very nice in the bottle but it is very sheer on the nail.
Avon Pale Gold - Another douchrome. I adore it, even though the color is light I like to wear it alone not just as base because the color is stunning.
Max factor Whispering Ivory - beautiful color with a lot of shimmer. My only Max Factor nail polish.
Rimmel Rose Petal - I have it for long, long time. Great for french mani and great base nail polish.

Essence Irreplaceable - gorgeous color of sand with golden shimmer. Very pretty. 

Essence Mother Earth Is Watching You - from Natventurista trend edition. I like to wear this one when I'm get tired of bright colors...beautiful natural sand shade with silver shimer.

Essence Cut Off The Beige - from You Rock trend edition. Very similar to MEIWY but just a little bit darker and instead of silver there is golden shimmer. I bought this one first and sometimes I wonder do I really need MEIWY but since I like them both I guess I have to say Yes!

Avon Color Trend Cafe Au Lait - the bottle is almost empty but I haven't used it in a long time, probably because I have it for years.

Essence My Yellow Fellow - from Blossoms etc. trend edition. My favorite yellow nail polish. Pastel with golden shimmer. Stunning!!

Essence Mellow Yellow - very similar shade to MYF but this one has no shimmer, just nice creamy finish. 

Essence Sundancer - this is one of nail polishes that I got from my boyfriend. I use this color only in combination with other colors.

S-he 393 - almost the same as Sundancer but just little bit darker. Not my favority shade of yellow but works for nail art.

Julep Blake - looks a lot like Essence Mellow Yellow but this one is more shiny. Other then that I think they could be dupes. I really love this shade of yellow so I don't mind.
