December 2012 favorites

Balea shower gel and body lotion chocolate and fig fruit - I am in love with these two products. I love the smell so, so much. At first it was little bit too strong but now I'm completely obsessed with it. 

Essence 24 hand protection balm Caramel Hot Chocolate - One more chocolate scent, I love this one a lot. During winter hand balms / creams are a must for me and this one is really good.

Catrice The Paris Collection eyeshadow palette - I got this palette as a gift and even though I immediately loved it very much I thought that it will be left aside...but this was a palette that I used almost every day since I got it. Perfect palette for everyday makeup look!

p2 Appeltini lip balm - Great product, I love everything about this cute little thing!

Essie nail polishes - I tried Essie nail polishes for the first time this month. For now I have two and I like both very much. They are not just pretty colors, they last up to four days on my nails which is a miracle in my case.

p2 Sheer Glam lipstick Fame! - Beautiful lipstick, very soon I will post swatches and short review. 

Manhattan soft mat lose powder Natural - Great product, something I would recommend to anyone!

Random #6

It has been very long time since my last random post but it seams that this holiday time is perfect time for one. 

I didn't get much Christmas gifts this year but I did get new J.K.Rowling book which made me happy more then anything!! I've been little bit lazy with reading lately but I think there will be no problem about reading this book in few days. It will be so weird reading something by J.K. Rowling that is not Harry Potter related.

Yesterday I went to a local mall and even though I wasn't thinking about nail polishes I suddenly saw these beauties. All Golden Rose Jolly Jewels look aaaamazing, I got these two for now:

Another thing that I love is Balea Young shower gels, it is a shame that they are limited edition!! I think I would buy these even if I didn't like how they smell...fortunately I love them!

Since I'm obsessed with chocolate scent lately and I managed to lose every single lip balm that I own I bought Balea Sweet Wonderland. It has a nice smell but I'm not impressed with quality. It actually dries my lips and I should probably reapply it every five minutes.

Christmas manicures

Last few days I was in the mood for Christmas manicures and here is what I came with:

First manicure is white base with colorful glitter, Christmas lights and Christmas tree on one nail. I love how the tree looks like unlike the lights which turn out too big. However, this mani is fun and very easy to create especially the tree. I used: Essence Berlin Story, Essence Chuck, Essence Back To Paradise, Essence Circus Confetti, Essence Ahoy,  S-he 393, p2 Open Your Heart

My second mani is Santa's coat. This is a fun holiday mani and I really wanted to try it. I turn out to be very easy to create and it looks very effective. I used: Catrice Back To Black, Essence Ahoy, Essence Silver Surfer, Essence

China Glaze Flirty Tankini vs Essence Queen Of My Cloud Castle

When I had Essence Queen Of My Cloud Castle on my nails for the first time it looked little bit familiar. Later I realized that it reminds me on China Glaze Flirty Tankini, since I wasn't at home I couldn't compare it right away but when I did polish in the bottle looked almost the same. Both are warm corals with shimmer.

I decided to apply both polishes on nail wheel and that was when I saw that they are not really dupes. They are really close but not 100 % the same. CG Flirty Tankini leans on pink while Queen Of My Cloud Castle leans on orange. Flirty Tankini also has more pink shimmer then Queen Of My Cloud Castle and the finish of both polishes is different as you can see on the pictures bellow. Between the two I prefer Flirty Tankini only because I always choose pink over orange but these two nail polishes are so close that there is almost no difference. The difference is easy to see in the sun but if you look at the in the artificial light the difference is negligible.

Essie Leading Lady

My first Essie nail polish! Essie Leading Lady is part of winter collection with the same name. Leading Lady is deep red with glitter. Since I'm sucker for glitter I am in love with this nail polish. It is very beautiful and appropriate for this time of year. It applies easily, dries fast and it lasts for about four days on my nails. I love this nail polish very much and I'm glad that I finally tried Essie nail polish, for now my experience with this brand is very positive so very quickly I bought another Essie polish. Hopefully there will be few more in my collection in the future.

Preview: Essence TE Hugs & Kisses

Finally Essence Trend Edition that I really excited about!! Hugs & Kisses TE is comming in January and February 2013. The collection contains: blush, eye shadow palette, lip scrub, edt, glittery eyeliners, lip tint, nail art twins and nail stickers! There are so many items that I want,  especially nail polishes. I think all toppers will be mine!!! I can't wait!

Germany haul ( 2012 )

When I was in Germany I bought few things, I'm glad that I didn't go crazy like last year. Mainly I was looking brands that I don't have anywhere near. So there are few brands that I tried for the first time :)

Awesome prize from My Perfect Lounge giveaway

A month ago there was a themed giveaway on My Perfect Lounge, a blog that I follow and check out regularly. The theme of giveaway was 70's. If you want to see my entry click here. I never participated in giveaway like this where you have to "do something" for the prize but it is definitely something I want to repeat. It was fun experience, mostly because it was a such fun theme so I could just put million colors on my nails and I was so happy when I realized that I was among winning girls.  Now let's look at what I got! When I came home few days ago package was waiting for me and there was: nail stickers, nail art stars, two nail polishes and a bow ring witch unfortunately didn't survive the shipping...I will keep it aside for a while, until I figure out it's new purpose. Since I love bows, I will definitely use it  it could be great decoration peace.

Here is closer look to the rest: red nail stickers and golden nail art stars. Stars will be great for holiday manis and I can't wait to use. Red nail stickers look really pretty, when I use these that will be my first experience with sticker like these so that should be interesting too :)

Next are two Malena nail polishes. These two are my first Malena products and I'm really glad that I able to try them. 

Yesterday I applied number 14 on my nails. Gorgeous shimmery red which also has loads of silver glitter. I love this color, it is really pretty especially for this time of year. For full opacity I applied 2 coats. 

Second nail polish that I got is number 2, the color is black. This one will also serve me well especially for nail art because that is when I use black nail polishes the most.

Back from Germany!

I came back home from Germany few days ago. I'm finally completely unpacked and everything is on it's place. I had a great time and I hope to repeat the trip soon. I didn't take much pictures but I have a few and I want to share them with you! I did some shopping while I was there and I hope I will take some  pictures in next few days so you can see it! 

I had a great time in Stuttgart... amazing city!

Christmas is everywhere, I love all decorations...

If you come to Germany before Christmas, Weihnachtsmarkt is inevitable!

Great thing when you travel is enjoying food without feeling guilty :))

Another thing that is inevitable in Germany is the rain...but it didn't matter...
