12 Days Of Christmas Nail Art Challenge: #3

We are already on day 3 of Christmas nail art challenge! First time when I saw the theme for today I knew that I will do candy cane mani. I wanted to do it for past few years and every time I would do something else instead. Candy cane manicure is really simple. All you have to do is choose white or red base and draw diagonal lines with the other color. Very simple and quick, but it looks very effective and many people notice this manicure. After my little failure last time I'm very happy with the way this turn out.

Essence Beauty Beats - Groupie At Heart

I pass on last few Essence Trend Editions but as much as I wanted the one I couldn't resist was Justin Bieber collection Beauty Beats. I really love this collection and I picked up nail polish and a blush. Fortunately I was talking on my phone the hole time so the display didn't get my full intention, otherwise I would probably end up with more products :) Two products that I got share the same name Groupie At Heart. Anyway, this had to be mine and I'm happy I have it :D

The blush Groupie At Heart looks really cute as you can see. The color is bright pink and it is very pigmented. It is also matte. When you apply this blush if you want soft and delicate look you only need a very small amount of product, and if you are looking for something stronger just apply little bit more and you will be happy with the result. This will probably be my go to blush for few days and then I might put it aside until spring because I prefer orange / earth tones in winter. 

Even though I know I don't need another pink nail polish I couldn't go home without Groupie At Heart. This is bright pink with gorgeous pink shimmer. Most of Essence bright pinks lose all the magic because they are usually too sheer but not this one. With two coats you get the opacity and it really looks pretty!

12 Days Of Christmas Nail Art Challenge: #2

Today is Day 2 and the theme was:

I decided to go with wrapping paper. In the end I'm not very happy with my design but it is what it is. I have golden base and I stamped some red stars. My biggest mistake is that I choose shimmery gold base, it would be so much better with something foil like but when I realized that I was already finished and I wasn't in a mood to do everything from beginning. However I enjoy this challenge and I can't wait for the next task!

12 Days Of Christmas Nail Art Challenge: #1

I joined 12 Days Of Christmas Nail Art Challenge hosted by Naild It NZ, A Gril With Some Clothes and From L&P To English Tea. Even though I don't have time to do anything these days I hope I will be able to complete this challenge because it will be so much fun as always! Theme for day 1 is:

My design is pretty easy. I painted my nails with  shimmery green nail polish Catrice Forevergreen except my ring finger which is white. I used tape to draw a green triangle and I added glitter with Essence Not Punky Nor Funky...and here it is my simple Christmas tree!

Preview: Essence TE Kalinka

In January 2014 Essence is going to Russia! The Trend edition is called Kalinika and it contains: gradient blush, eyeshadows, eyebrow styler, hair mascara, lip brush, duo lip cream, nail polishes, purse and single lashes. Most of this TE is not my cup of tea but I really want the blush and the purse. How cute are those two?? I have a feeling that this blush will be on the watch for most girls. What do you think about Kalinka?

Preview: Essence TE Ice Ice Baby

Let's see what Essence has for us in January and February 2014. There will be Trend Edition called Ice Ice Baby and it contains: shimmer powder, eye pencils, eyeshadows, lip balms, nail polishes, cable clip and hand balm. Essence usually starts new year with soft colors so 2014 is no exception. I will definitely check out nail polishes and hand balm.
